Where the Edge Meets the Wild

My love for knives started when I was nine years old. My grandfather handed me my first camp knife and a penny and he said “Now you give me the penny back” and at that moment, I bought my first knife from my grandfather. He taught me that it‘s bad luck to get a knife as a gift so you should always give the person a coin with the blade so they can “buy” it from you. It wasn’t just a tool — it was a lesson in, it was something to take care of, rely on, and respect. Opening the box now and seeing that knife feels like seeing an old friend and remembering all the old stories and memories that come wher a long friendship.
That feeling is what inspired Friday Night Knives.
